With the threat of North winds freezing temperatures 120 crews made it to Boston Lincs for the trials, the weather was as predicted as you can see from the photograph, absolutely hell for the crews not good weather to be out on the river. One described the experience as a "Discover" some reference to Scott I believe.

All over by lunch when the boats were finally hauled out of the river and the snow stopped and the sun came out.

And a good time was had by all!!!!.
