The AIVC Conference for 2006 was held on the weekend of 7-9 April 2006 at the Best Western Westminster Hotel in Nottingham.  Delegates from 31 of the associations 45 clubs attended the Diamond Anniverary (60 years) of IVC Conference.

Friday evening there was a welcome buffet followed by club presentations of forthcoming major events and a disco.

Saturday morning following breakfast had the national officer reports followed by Conference motions.  All this business was dealt with in a brisk and professional manner to lead the Conference to lunch.

Following lunch there were various trips out to visit Nottingham and the surrounding areas. Some people went shopping in the City Centre while others visited a few of the areas many attractions.

The evening Casino Royale Dinner and Party was a great chance for delegates to get together for an excellent meal, lose some fun money in the casino and have a dance till the early hours of the morning.

Sunday morning following breakfast had conference discussion groups followed by consideration of the AIVC national budget and election of the national officers.  All the national officer posts were filled, though there were still a couple of regional co-ordinators required.

Once the conference finished it was time for the Conference photograph and our final lunch together before everyone departed for home.

Conference 2007 will be hosted by York IVC in the city of York.
